Macalester College is seeking applicants for the Director of Sustainability.   This position reports to the AVP of Facilities Services and is responsible for the creation, implementation and coordination of the sustainability program for the College.  The Sustainability Director coordinates the integration of sustainability concepts with real-world implementation throughout the Macalester community while using the campus as a proving ground for ideas and concepts.  Resources and efforts are focused under the guiding principle that the most sustainable action is to not consume the resource in the first place.

About The Office of Sustainability:

We have a record of environmental stewardship, curricular innovation around sustainability, and deep student engagement around environmental and social justice themes. We also have many committed faculty and staff, and a strong civic engagement office that—through community connections in classes, research, off-campus work study, and co-curricular activities (internships, volunteer work, etc.)—creates new connections for sustainability learning in and with the community.
